Weight Loss

Approximately 70% of American adults are overweight.  Obesity is a serious health condition and associated with heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and an increased risk for certain types of cancer.  Unfortunately, while traditional weight loss methods such as diet and exercise are effective, they are difficult to maintain and often lead to frustration or failure.

Medically supervised weight loss helps you achieve your goals quicker and more reliably than standard methods.  Our program prescribes medications from the GLP1-RA class, such as Semaglutide, which are widely used, safe, and effective treatments.

The medications we prescribe work by mimicking a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP1-RA) that targets areas of the brain that regulate appetite and food intake while also improving healthy blood sugar levels and insulin function.  This combination results in reduced hunger and increased energy levels, which lead to weight loss. It is common for our patients to lose 15% of their body weight or more!

To get started give us a call and we will schedule you for a free consultation with one of our licensed medical providers that specialize in weight loss.  The consultation includes a thorough review of your health history as well as details about the medication and our program.

Each week for the first four weeks and then each month thereafter your provider will review the progress and symptoms you have experienced and adjust your dose to help you achieve optimal results.  The medication you will take has the potential for undesirable side effects and active care from your medical team is necessary to ensure proper use and response to your symptoms.  Prescriptions needed to support your weight loss or side effects are called in free of charge and we also offer discounted IVs as needed to help manage your side effects.

Our program includes the benefits above as well as the medication needed to achieve optimal results and a complimentary IM shot (i.e.B12)  twice per month for patients that come into our clinic.  You will also receive a nutrition assessment completed by a registered dietician nutritionist at the start of the program as well as weekly nutrition or physical activity seminars that will be available via in clinic and zoom.

Although we do not accept insurance, you may pay for the program with your FSA or HSA.  If you need your medication shipped we will overnight it in an insulated package for an additional fee.

Comprehensive Weight Loss Symptom Management Protocols

GLP-1 RA medications such as Semaglutide (Ozempic/Wegovy), Tirzepatide (Mounjaro), etc.  have some common side effects (>10%) including but not limited to; Nausea, constipation, or diarrhea, loss of appetite/feeling of fullness and acid reflux. Over time this, like other side effects associated with GLP-1 RA medications will improve in time (usually 2-4 weeks after a dose increase). If some of these side effects are left untreated and become severe, serious health consequences can occur, including renal failure and even death. We have compiled some specific recommendations that we hope you find helpful in managing some of these side effects should you suffer from any of them.
