When life brings unexpected cuts or lacerations, having the right care matters. At Nervana Medical in Sandy, Utah, we provide professional, cash-pay suture services for patients who prefer prompt, high-quality wound closure that doesn’t consist of spending a day in the ER or sitting at an Urgent Care with the latest strain of influenza. We are equipped to take small to large cuts and multi layered lacerations.
What We Offer
We provide sutures (stitches), staples, and skin adhesive (Derma Bond) for a variety of wounds, with pricing that is transparent and accessible for cash-pay patients. Our services include:
Pricing is calculated by size of laceration and depth of laceration:
Size:
- Small area (≤ 2.5 cm) –
- Medium area (2.6–7.5 cm) –
- Large area(> 7.5 cm or complex patterns) –
Depth:
- Single Layer
- Additional layer (up to 20% more price wise given additional material and time)
Alternatives:
- Staples – an alternative to sutures for certain wounds, especially scalp lacerations.
- Suture or staple removal – included at no cost if performed at Nervana, or available for a small fee otherwise.
- Derma Bond repair – skin adhesive for select wounds (especially in elderly skin tears)
*We also provide additional layered suturing when needed for deeper tissue support. If you need antibiotics (variable; i.e.source of laceration) then we will prescribe those at the time of your appointment (cost of medications handled by pharmacy). If you need your tetanus immunization (provider to determine if you meet criteria), then that would also be called into a pharmacy for you to receive at a pharmacy and cost of medication handed under pharmacy (insurance can be run).
* Should your provider feel you need additional diagnostic imaging, we are contracted thru Intermountain Health Care for imaging services- we would send an order into them and they would then handle billing/insurance.
