Compassionate Care

Nervana Medical was founded in 2022 by Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Cassandra (Cassie) Debenham. Cassie has over 15 years of experience in health care, primarily in intensive care medicine.  She left in 2021, mentally and physically burned out after nearly 2 years of working in the COVID ICU.

Compassionate Care

At Nervana Medical, we are committed to extending a helping hand to individuals with the greatest medical needs, ensuring they receive essential therapies for a healthier, happier life. Join us in this compassionate journey by contributing to our online donation campaign, making a direct impact on the lives of those who require transformative treatments like our weight loss program (where we have successfully achieved helping people lose more than 30% of their initial body weight!) and ketamine therapy (where we have been told time and time again that we saved lives from potential suicide) and more.

MARCUS

Marcus is by all means a normal, healthy, fun-loving 10 year old boy. On October 10th, he developed a fever followed by numerous other concerning symptoms.

PAXTON

In may Paxton 16 years old had surgery to have part of a tumor removed from his brain stem. Before that he was a healthy athletic boy who worked out everyday. We then found out the prognosis midline Difuse glioma. He has had 30 rounds of radiation to his brain stem. Between brain surgery and radiation he has numbness in his hands and feet, can’t swallow very well so he has a feeding tube, and double vision. We have since found out he has new growth in a new area. He is now being treated at the karlfeldt center in Boise ID. Where they find the underlying cause of cancer and work on killing the cancer stem cell.

LACHLAN

Cassie chose Lachlan for our compassionate care highlight and while we at Nervana are not doing anything medically for Lachlan (unlike our typical compassionate care cases), Lachlan’s mama Erin babysat Cassie’s son from 8 weeks until the time she moved and was an integral part of Cassie’s career by means of giving her the peace of mind that her son was in good hands while she was at work.
