Affordable, Supportive Ketamine Treatments at Nervana Medical
Healing Doesn’t Have to Happen Alone
At Nervana Medical, we believe that access to high-quality mental health care should not be limited by cost. That’s why we offer professionally supervised group ketamine treatment sessions. This approach provides the same individualized medical care in a setting that allows treatment to be more affordable for many patients.
Although each person’s ketamine experience is deeply personal, we’ve found that there is something incredibly meaningful about beginning the journey alongside others who understand what it’s like to struggle. Many of our patients tell us that simply realizing they are not alone has become an unexpected and valuable part of their healing process.
What Is a Group Ketamine Session?
Our group sessions are designed to combine the benefits of individualized ketamine therapy with the comfort of a supportive environment.
Before treatment begins, patients have an opportunity to settle in, meet one another if they choose, and receive education from our medical team. While participation is always voluntary, these moments often create a sense of connection among individuals who may be facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain, or other difficult life challenges.
Once treatment begins, each patient transitions into their own personal experience.
Patients wear:
- Eye masks to encourage inward focus
- Noise-canceling headphones with carefully selected music
- Comfortable blankets and reclining treatment chairs
During the ketamine experience, patients are not expected to interact with one another. Instead, they are encouraged to focus entirely on their own thoughts, emotions, and healing journey while being continuously monitored by our experienced medical staff.
Why Choose a Group Setting?
More Affordable Care
One of the greatest advantages of our group treatment model is affordability.
By treating several medically appropriate patients during the same treatment session, we are able to reduce costs while maintaining the same high standard of medical supervision and safety that Nervana Medical is known for.
For many patients, this makes ketamine therapy more financially accessible and allows them to complete the recommended series of treatments.
You’re Still on Your Own Journey
A common misconception is that “group ketamine” means group therapy.
It doesn’t.
The ketamine experience itself remains highly individualized.
During treatment:
- You are comfortably positioned in your own treatment space.
- You wear an eye mask and headphones.
- You are encouraged to remain inwardly focused throughout the session.
- Our medical team continuously monitors your safety and comfort.
Every person’s experience is unique. We strive to create an environment that feels peaceful, safe, and supportive.
The Power of Shared Understanding
While the treatment itself is individual, we’ve consistently noticed something special happens before the session even begins.
Patients often discover that others in the room have experienced similar struggles, whether that is treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, burnout, or chronic pain.
Without pressure or expectation, many people leave feeling less isolated than when they arrived.
Knowing that others are walking a similar path can provide reassurance, hope, and a reminder that healing is possible.
“Although everyone’s journey is different, you don’t have to feel like you’re facing it entirely alone.”
Safety Always Comes First
Every group session is medically supervised by experienced healthcare professionals trained in ketamine therapy.
Before participating, each patient completes a comprehensive medical evaluation to determine whether ketamine treatment, and specifically a group setting, is appropriate for their individual needs. Patients are not accepted into the group setting until they have completed at least one individual session to ensure emotional stability prior to being deemed a candidate for group treatment.
If at any point we feel a patient would benefit more from individual treatment, we will discuss that recommendation and tailor a plan to their needs.
Is Group Ketamine Right for You?
Group ketamine treatment may be a good option for individuals seeking a more affordable approach to medically supervised ketamine therapy while still receiving individualized care.
It may be appropriate for patients experiencing:
- Depression
- Anxiety disorders
- PTSD
- Chronic pain
- Emotional burnout
- Other conditions for which ketamine therapy may be clinically appropriate
Your provider will help determine whether group or individual treatment is the best fit based on your medical history, treatment goals, and personal preferences.
