Case Details
Morpheus8 is radiofrequency microneedling, and the “radiofrequency” part is what sets it apart from microneedling alone.
Here’s what’s happening beneath the skin: fine needles deliver RF energy into the deep dermis and, with the right tip depth, the subdermal layer. That controlled thermal energy signals fibroblasts to lay down new collagen and remodel the tissue that’s already there. The needling resurfaces the surface; the RF tightens and rebuilds from underneath.
We often layer PDGF (platelet-derived growth factor) into the fresh microchannels right after treatment. PDGF is one of the signaling proteins that recruits and activates fibroblasts, so it reinforces the same collagen-building cascade the RF energy sets in motion. The microchannels are a direct route to the dermis, which is exactly where you want those growth factors working.
Because we’re working with your own collagen, results are gradual by design. For most patients we recommend a series of three treatments spaced about one month apart. You’ll notice changes along the way, but the more complete result typically shows up around three to six months out, as that new collagen matures. That’s when skin looks firmer, smoother, and more refined, with a tighter contour.
This is restoration, not a quick fix. It rewards patience.
