October was a celebration month! We turned five, threw a members-only party to say thank you, and officially launched the Banked Plan. In between, we ran our first BooTox days, handed out free B12 on Halloween weekend, kept training, and published more on the blog than any month this year trying to keep you all up to date with all things exciting in this wellness arena. Here is everything worth catching up on at Nervana Medical in Sandy, UT, plus what is coming in November.
Five years, and a party for our members
On October 8 we hosted our members-only 5th Birthday Members Night at the clinic. Thank you to everyone who came, brought a +1, and celebrated with us. Huge thank you to our partners at Galderma, Allergan, Alastin, Epicutis, and Plated who came out to share product spotlights. It was also the official launch of the New Advanced Concierge -Banked Plan.

Five years ago this was an idea about blending traditional Western medicine with complementary integrative medicine, so people could feel their best and live their fullest lives. That is still the whole idea. We would not be here without you, our patients, and the team that shows up for you every day. Watch our 5th birthday reel on Instagram.
The Banked Plan is live
The Banked Plan is our medical concierge membership built around a balance. Your monthly payment goes into a member balance you can use on services, labs, and products at member pricing, and unused balance rolls over each month. Everything you need to know, including the terms and an FAQ, is on the Banked Plan page, and every option is on our medical concierge page.
What we wrote this month
Eight new posts went up in October, all in the same spirit as the clinic: evidence first, not brochure copy.
GLP-1 and Breastfeeding: What the New Postpartum Data Shows
Can you take a GLP-1 medication while nursing? It is a fair question, and the new postpartum data is worth walking through before you decide.
Bioidentical vs Synthetic Hormones: What’s Actually the Difference?
Bioidentical progesterone and synthetic progestins often get lumped together, but they do not work the same way in the body.
Testosterone After Ovary Removal: Surgical Menopause, Androgen Loss, and the Case for Ovarian Preservation
If both ovaries were removed, you went through menopause overnight. Here is what changes, and why healthy ovaries are worth a conversation before surgery.
Morpheus8 vs. Traditional Microneedling: What’s the Difference?
Close cousins, different tools. How each one works and who each one is best for.
Beyond Antidepressants: Testosterone for Treatment-Resistant Depression in Women
If you have tried more than one antidepressant and still do not feel like yourself, hormones may be part of the picture worth checking.
Why Is Botox So Expensive? Because It Should Be.
I hear this question almost every week. What goes into the price, and why the cheapest unit is not always the best deal.
Normal TSH, Still Tired? How to Read Your Full Thyroid Panel
“My labs came back normal, so why am I still exhausted?†TSH is only one piece of a full thyroid panel.
Microneedling Recovery, Day by Day: What to Expect Before and After Treatment

Education this month
We keep putting training hours back into the clinic, not just new menus.
Mastering the Aesthetic Consultation. Our team worked through Galderma’s GAIN consultation training, which is all about listening first and building a plan around your goals, not a sales pitch.
Epicutis and skincare training. Every injector and esthetician is completing training on each skincare line we carry, so the home-care recommendation you get is one we actually understand. Two Epicutis favorites, the Oil Cleanser and the Hydrobiome Serum, are joining our shelves.
EZ Gel. Brittany has been training on EZ Gel, the treatment made from your own blood that uses PRF and albumin for fine lines, crepey skin, and under-eye hollows. Meet EZ Gel on Instagram.
Peptides. HHS also recently moved to allow compounding pharmacies to prepare several peptides again. That is not FDA approval, but it is changing the conversation. Watch Ali’s peptide update, and book a peptide consultation if you are curious whether peptides fit your goals.
Ketamine. We have dug into more education with the American Society of Ketamine Physcians related to ketamine for eating disorders as well as chronic pain-
Congratulations, Sophie, on completing your IV certification!
New and/or worth knowing
Group ketamine sessions. We offer group ketamine sessions as a more affordable, medically supervised alternative to individual treatments. These sessions do not include psychotherapy or guided integration. Learn more on our ketamine therapy page or call us to talk it through.
Complimentary nitrous. Nitrous is complimentary with any treatment over $800.
Telehealth across the Mountain West. Telehealth visits start at $50 for a simple visit, and we see patients in UT, AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, and WY.
BooTox and Halloween treats
BooTox, October 21-23. For three days, tox was $9 per unit with Cassie, Victoria, or Lisa. Thank you to everyone who came in! Outside of special events like this, $9 per unit is our new-patient first-visit price, and regular pricing is $12 per unit ($10.20 for members).
Free B12, October 30. We handed out free B12 injections from 3-6 PM, by appointment, as our Halloween treat. And yes, the costumes were real. Happy Halloween from the crew.
October giveaway. Congratulations to our October winner, announced on Instagram!

Thank you for your reviews. More than 500 five-star Google reviews later, reading how you describe feeling heard, educated, and safe is still exactly why we do this.
