September was a building month! We hosted an injector training right here in the clinic, had the Epicutis team in to teach us about a few of the new products that we are now carrying (and treat us to facials), set up cash-pay lab panels with another carrier to get cheaper pricing for you, and opened sign-up for a new membership we have been working on for a long time. GLP-1s and Knee Osteoarthritis: What the Evidence Shows (and Doesn’t)
In the STEP 9 trial, adults with obesity and knee osteoarthritis on semaglutide lost about 14% of their body weight and reported meaningfully less knee pain than placebo. It is not FDA-approved for knee OA, no one has shown it rebuilds cartilage, and it does not replace a real joint plan. Worth reading if knee pain and weight are part of the same conversation for you.

Education this month
We keep putting training hours back into the clinic, not just new menus.
- GAIN (Galderma) injector training (September 22). We hosted a GAIN training at the clinic with Erin Hewitt, an NP from back East, so our whole injector team could be in the room trading technique with some of the best in the industry. This field gets better when we collaborate, not compete.
- Epicutis skincare training (September 24). The Epicutis team came on-site to train us on their skincare lines, and treated our team to facials. Better product knowledge means better home-care recommendations for you.
That is the same reason we write the blog the way we do. If we are going to recommend it, we want to understand it. We LOVE Epicutis for post morpheus recovery!
The Banked Plan: our new medical concierge membership
Many of you use more than one part of Nervana, and paying visit by visit is hard to budget. So we built a membership around a balance. Sign-up is open now for The Banked Plan, and it officially launches October 8 at our members-only 5th birthday party.
- $300 a month goes into your member balance, to use on anything at Nervana: services, labs, and products, at member pricing.
- Unused balance rolls over month to month and year to year, and never expires while you are a member.

We draw Access, IHC, and Quest labs in our clinic, billed through insurance or as cash pay, so there is no extra trip to a lab. New cash-pay Access panels start at $45! Fall specials — Run through November 30
